Alumni Spotlight: Pamela Ebel

Today, we're catching up with Pamela Ebel, who attended Joe Ide's Writing The Killer Crime Novel and How to Increase Your Odds of Getting Published workshops.

Her short fiction was recently published in Shotgun Honey in 2020 and 2021.

"I took several classes on publishing and agents with Joe Ide. I found Joe's presentations to be well researched and structured to fit the time limit and the advertised topic."

Pamela Ebel was born in Northern California and raised by southern women. She has a JD from Loyola New Orleans and her poetry has appeared in the Delta Poetry Review and the Five-Two Crime/Mystery Poetry magazine.

Pamela's short stories have also appeared in The BOULD AWARDS ANTHOLOGIES in 2020 and 2021, YELLOW MAMA EZINE in 2021, Kings River Life Magazine in 2021 and Tomorrow and Tomorrow Fall 2021 Anthology and others. She travels between New Orleans, California, Alabama and the Mississippi Delta sharing tales from the crossroads of America. And, like the ancient Greeks and the Irish, as a southern writer she knows you can’t out run your blood.

Pam's stories are influenced by her own personal history, as well as the stories shared with her by friends, whose southern roots provide the characters that populate her mind. She is currently finishing the edits on a novella based on a true murder that was never solved and working on another poetry piece and getting ready to launch a 'free to read' series of books based on two different sets of characters. Pam is also putting together a collection of her short stories.

Thank you for letting us be part of your writing journey, Pamela!
